Business Development Manager

Following recent investment and growth, we seek a Business Development Manager to work across the sales cycle: identifying target markets and potential customers, generating new sales leads and opportunities, understanding and satisfying customer requirements, identifying and reporting market requirements and trends and supporting customers post-sale. The right candidate will be experienced in solution sales and will take ownership of identifying and developing leads, working closely with marketing, managing after-sales and customer support queries, and will thrive in an entrepreneurial, growth-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and research new markets and potential client accounts
  • Generate and maintain a sales pipeline through targeted marketing initiatives
  • Qualify and develop inbound leads
  • Foster relationships and develop opportunities in existing resellers and system integrators
  • Gather and share insight into success of marketing activities
  • Identify and attend marketing events including trade shows and other promotional events

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Strong organisational, analytical, creative, and problem-solving skills
  • Previous experience in software and/or solution sales, technology marketing and/or associated business development role
  • Business proficiency in English. Additional languages desirable.

Role

  • Full time plus occasional weekends & travel (e.g. trade shows and customer visits)
  • Head-office in Henley-on-Thames and work-from-home, depending on business requirements
  • Salary based on candidate experience
